Managing Your Metal Inventory

When it comes to keeping your production lines running, we can be very flexible. Most of our customers’ metal inventory is under our roof, not theirs, and we have a variety of tailored stocking and delivery programs that cut your overhead costs and free up your storage space.

JIT
A growing number of our customers receive their metal supplies “just in time”, based on periodic demand forecasts and precise delivery schedules. In many cases, we carry back-up stock to cover any sudden changes in production needs.

Stocking Programs
Scioto Metals has entered into a variety of stocking/delivery agreements, including blanket orders with periodic releases, annual contracts with negotiated pricing, and other arrangements to assure availability and cost control. We also stock a number of common alloys to serve lower volume customers who prefer to purchase material as needed.

Emergency Requirements
If somehow you run out of material, we’ll have it on its way almost before you hang up the phone. If we don’t have it in stock, we’ll expedite delivery from any of several nearby sources to help your production operations stay on schedule.
